Sweet Potato Dog Treats

A sweet snack for a sweet snack (your dog). Sweet potatoes are a healthy way to show your dog just how much you love them. Your pup will say "YAMMY!" as they snack away on this new treat.

1 Medium Sweet Potato, Peeled and Diced
1 cup of Rice Flour (or Almond)
¾ cup of Rice Flour (or Regular Flour)
1 Tbsp of Flaxseed Meal
1 Egg, Lightly Beaten (or Applesauce)

Preheat oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick spray.
Dice the sweet potato into small squares and place into a sauce pan. Add approximately 1 cup of water and place over high heat to bring to a boil for about 7-9 minutes or until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork.
Beat the sweet potatoes until smooth, then add the flaxseed meal and egg until dough forms.
Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll into rectangles, cut out shapes as desired.
Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until golden. Cool before serving.

Flaxseed is packed with omega fatty acids which helps promote a healthy coat and skin. Sweet potato is a good source of natural fiber to aid digestion.
