Apple Pie Treat

Nothing more American than Fourth of July and Apple Pie! Fix this pup-friendly dessert so that your dog can feel just as stuffed after Thanksgiving dinner or munch away as the sparklers shine on the Fourth. Cut and serve to multiple pups to keep the celebration going!

1 cup of Whole Wheat Flour
2 Tbsp of Pumpkin Puree
2 Tbsp of Melted Coconut Oil
1 Egg
½ cup of Diced Apple
⅓ Tbsp of Raw Honey
⅛ tsp of Cinnamon
Cupcake/Muffin Pan

Preheat the oven to 350 F, and begin slicing or dicing the apple (remove the core, stem, and seeds). Add this to honey and cinnamon and set aside.
Begin creating the dough, mix the flour, pumpkin puree, coconut oil, and egg in a mixing bowl, adding water and more flour as you feel is necessary.
Roll the dough and cut out 4 of 4.5-inch-diameter circles from the dough, place the circle-shaped dough onto the cupcake baking pan and crimp the edges using your fingers.
Place the apple mixture in the cup filled with the dough. With the leftover dough, make ⅛ inch wide strips to create a lattice top, usually, about 4-6 strips will cover.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, let cool completely before serving, refrigerate or freeze to keep fresh longer.
